Artist's Description

My wife and I were walking a trail in a riverside park in Mount Pleasant, Michigan USA when we heard a saxophone being played – and played well. As we neared some railroad tracks, we found Mitch, a senior at Central Michigan University (CMU). I took some images, and then we talked to him. He used to attend school in Chicago as a music major, and he played in a jazz ensemble. He then transferred to CMU and changed his major to Computer Science. Since he no longer was a music major, he could not practice his saxophone in the Music Building on campus. Mitch wanted to be sensitive to his roommates, so he chose to practice by the tracks. I hope he is able to perform for many years, and I wish him much success in life. (I liked selective color for this shot.)

Perhaps in eternity's gaze I have been see and created to be an artist in imitation of God, the Creator Artist." I believe everyone is a creative artist of some kind, whether it's with a camera, a paint brush, food, a computer keyboard, a musical instrument – and the list goes on and on. I like to take photos and create an image that might spark a story in the minds of the beholder or elicit a laugh or two. If a photo stirs your heart or makes you...
